High-end writing instruments are relatively a collector’s obsession. However limited edition pens still bring in new fans, particularly those from Italian maker Tibaldi. Check out Tibaldi’s latest pen created in collaboration with Bentley Motors, commemorating 60 years of production at the Bentley factory at Crewe. Bentley’s head-turning good looks and uncompromising performance are qualities that we can look for in this special edition. A diamond metal finish on the pen and a diamond wood marquetry on its case inform the learned collector of its value. The TIBALDI for Bentley pens draw their design cues from the finishes of the two limited edition cars produced for the Diamond Jubilee of the Crewe factory – the Arnage and the Continental GT Diamond Series. Bearing the Sheffield Assay Office Bentley hallmark, the limited edition includes 400 silver fountain pens, 200 silver roller balls, 40 solid white gold fountain pens and 20 solid white gold roller balls.
For those of us who can’t afford the usual $3000 price tag for a Tibaldi, just digging in the images is enough to urge your pens to write.
