This is the way the royalty dress, or this is a way you get some royal attention. A semi-royal apparel auction that saw the future princess of England or Catherine Middleton, and the former Princess of Wales, Diana’s famed dress put under the hammer. While two of Diana’s gowns were sold, the highlight of the day was a semi-transparent dress the Catherine Middleton graced to get her prized catch; Prince William fetched a staggering £78,000 ($127,524)!
20 at the time, Middleton strutted in the sultry number designed by Charlotte Todd, for a charity fashion show at Saint Andrew’s University, Scotland, in 2002, was initially estimated at £10,000 ($16,350) by Kerry Taylor Auctions. What is more amusing is that the dress, intended to be a skirt, was put together for a meager £30 ($48).
