Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci kicks in neon into Nike’s Air Force 1 sneakers

We were drooling over Adidas’ refashioned Stan Smiths. Until we saw Riccardo Tisci’s Nike RTs. And unlike the former, the latter are set to do more than charity. (Not counting the fashion victims, in which case, they will do nothing but!) Read on to know more about why we’re turning to these Tisci designed babies for our latest kick-fix.

Givenchy Creative Director’s renditions kick in some neon into Nike’s ubiquitous Air Force 1. But not without generous lashings of great of design detail in black, yellow, orange and blue colors! “For me the Air Force 1 is not about gender, it’s not about a particular city, nor is it about a certain style. The community decides. It’s democratic. It’s love,” professed RT.
Named Nike RT Air Force 1 Lo, Nike RT Air Force 1 Mid, Nike RT Air Force 1 Hi, and the Nike RT Air Force 1 Boot, the sneakers come in normal hi and low-top, as well as styles that are knee-high and mid-calf. While the white collection is set to see a March 1 release, the black will come out a month later, on April 1. And from what we saw on model Joan Smalls, the Nike x RT AF1 Hi Boots will carry a price tag of $225.
