This $25k trip is a chocolate lover’s ultimate fantasy

If you are a true-blue chocolate lover, you’re probably know all about To’ak chocolates- the makers of the most expensive chocolates in the world. Apart from dishing out the finest delights for you, the marquee is now set to take you across the length of Ecuador and its sprawling cacao plantations with a one of its kind luxe expedition aimed specially at chocolate lovers.

Christened as “Heart of Darkness: The Untold Story of Chocolate”, the once in a lifetime trip is presented by To’ak in close association with bespoke travel company Brown + Hudson. The ‘luxpedition’ as it is also called will take a maximum of 12 people through exclusive cacao plantations in Ecuador- where the first chocolate ever was produced about 3000 years ago. The journey will introduce travelers to visionary conservationists, award-winning maverick chefs, expert botanists, acclaimed hoteliers, intrepid archaeologists and curators of Ecuadorean culture, all while unearthing a chocolate heritage that dates back a thousand years.

Highlights of the trip include a masterclass with Rodrigo Pacheco from Netflix’s “The Final Table” and famed Ecuadorian chef Carlos Gallardo, a private tour of To’ak’s cacao plantation and the Jama-Coaque Forest Reserve, visit to the best archeological sites where cacao’s earliest origins were identified and exclusive stays in the finest of properties across the country. The chocolicious adventure will last seven days from June 22-29, 2019 with reservations closing on April 5. Chocolate aficionados, you wouldn’t want to miss this one!
