Red Sea Global’s Amaala, the wellness haven and luxe yachting destination, has partnered with Equinox to establish the Equinox Resort Amaala hotel on the west coast of Saudi Arabia. British studio Foster + Partners have been roped in to shape the newest address of luxury, and they, as creatures of habit, don’t disappoint. Heavily inspired by the pristine and preserved natural environments in Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea, the resort features a circular “floating” canopy and will be a part of the exclusive Amaala Marina Village.
The Equinox Resort Amaala Hotel guests will be gripped with a luxurious take on sports, fitness, and lifestyle. The property will feature 128 keys, including two luxury penthouses. The world of wellness is incomplete without a touch of gourmet to feed the soul. Equinox Resort Amaala will be home to several world-class culinary concepts from the best in the business. Luxe amenities include a magnesium salt rooftop pool, spa, Beach Club, and a signature Equinox Fitness Club.
“Amaala brings the best in health and wellness together in an area of extraordinary natural beauty to offer exceptional and transformative experiences for guests,” Group CEO of RSG John Pagano said. He added: “Equinox’s unique brand of luxury and fitness is a fantastic fit, allowing visitors to choose seeking self-improvement during their stay, getting back to nature on land or at sea, or simply enjoying quiet moments with loved ones in comfort and privacy.”
As mentioned above, the exclusive Equinox Resort will be vital to the Amaala Marina Village, home to a collection of luxury hotels, villas, and condominiums. The upscale destination owned by Saudi Arabia’s PIF (Public Investment Fund) will feature a sports academy (golf, equestrian, polo, camel racing, and falconry) and even an unmatched yacht club. In all, the Amaala Marina Village will boast 2,500 hotel rooms, 700 private residential villas, and an entertaining retail area of no less than 200 outlets.
“Amaala is a destination that perfectly aligns with our mission of redefining luxury hospitality,” Equinox Hotels CEO Christopher Norton said. He added: “Our highly differentiated resort offering will provide guests an unparalleled experience that only a brand like Equinox can deliver.”
