Interestingly, in 1760, the famous Penn family, founding fathers of Pennsylvania in the US purchased the estate and called it home till 1775. Up until 1908, it was used as a private residence. The affluent Ambani’s bought Stoke Park estate from the protective King brothers – Chester, Hertford, and Witney. They have owned the estate through their family business, International Group, since 1988.
