As long as two NFL fields, this megayacht concept is the ultimate status symbol for the world’s first climate-conscious trillionaire. So advanced it can cruise without burning a single drop of fuel, its engines are so powerful that they can power 56,000 American homes at once.

Italian design powerhouse Nuvolari Lenard has unveiled a superyacht concept that, in my opinion, feels destined for the world’s first trillionaire. Even today, some of the richest men alive remain without a luxury vessel, though trillionaire status is well within reach. Perhaps it was this absence that inspired the 663-foot Centerfold, a vessel so bold that it may tempt these ultra-wealthy men, like Elon Musk and Jensen Huang, to finally adopt the title of a superyacht owner. Or maybe the reverse is true, and this mammoth creation will entice them to claim a floating palace. Until that moment arrives, it’s best to simply marvel at the concept, crafted by masters of yachting and photography.

Superyacht concept Centerfold looks so striking and ready for sea trials thanks to Nuvolari Lenard’s collaboration with fashion photographer Jarmo Pohjaniemi. “For our collaboration with Jarmo on Centerfold, we reversed the creative process. Instead of waiting for him to capture the physical yacht with his lens, we invited him to work with us from the earliest stages of the design, exclusively managing the yacht’s beauty from his perspective as a world-class photographer,” shared Dan Lenard. “We created an initial yacht design that was beautiful to us, to our vision, and then he brought his refined professional eye and creative influence to the table.”

The result is a 16,800GT vessel slicing through azure waters and giving the world a glimpse of what the most expensive and powerful pleasure craft ever imagined could look like. According to Boat International, the yacht can operate in several propulsion modes, from zero-emission, full-electric stealth cruising to a blistering high-speed conventional mode. For the latter, the ship will rely on 100,000hp engines to push her to 35 knots. To put that in perspective, no yacht of this size has ever reached such speeds.

The Azzam megayacht

Until now, only the $600 million Azzam, a 13,000GT maritime marvel belonging to the Emir of Abu Dhabi, can touch 30 knots. Centerfold is even faster than the U.S. Navy’s stealth Zumwalt destroyer. If built, she would be poised to dethrone them all. With engines capable of generating enough power to light up 56,000 U.S. homes, she would surpass the $800 million Dilbar superyacht by 883 GT (5.5%) to become the largest private motor yacht in the world by volume.

Her design reveals an expansive profile with an elongated foredeck that features a perched helicopter for seamless arrival and departure. The pool deck is elegantly appointed, with chaise lounges flanking a rectangular pool, while a bar and plush seating create the perfect social hub. Cascading decks are concealed for privacy yet open aft for sweeping views, achieving a balance between intimacy and grandeur. In fashion, a centerfold is the showpiece of the issue; in yachting, Nuvolari Lenard’s 663-foot behemoth is the ultimate mark of status, size, and spectacle.

Who will be the world’s first trillionaire?

In December 2024, Elon Musk became the first person to surpass a net worth of $400 billion, a milestone once thought impossible. A decade earlier, the idea would’ve drawn laughter. In 2015, Forbes’ annual billionaires list ranked Musk with an estimated net worth of just $12 billion. His fortune has since ballooned by 3,350% in ten years. At that pace, there’s little doubt he could achieve trillionaire status within the coming decade.

And he may not be alone. Analysis from AP and The Guardian predict that the next decade could see at least five trillionaires. While many expect Musk to take the crown first, names like Mark Zuckerberg and Jensen Huang could well join him in this rarefied club. Whoever wins the race to become the world’s first trillionaire, there’s already a stellar superyacht waiting at the finish line, the Centerfold.
