Lamborghini unveiled the Aventador LP750-4 SV last month at the Geneva Motor Show, and now has finally announced the production figure. Lamborghini used the ongoing 2015 Shanghai Auto Show to mark the tenth anniversary of its launch in China and confirmed the Aventador SuperVeloce will be limited to just 600 units worldwide. Given that Lamborghini only applies the SV designation to its most extreme models, we are pretty sure that all the 600 will find homes very quickly. After all, it’s just the fourth model in Lamborghini’s 50-year history to wear the “SV” badge, the previous three being the Miura, Diablo and Murcielago.
The Lamborghini Aventador SV starts at $493,095 including destination and at that price you get a supercar that is powered by a good old-fashioned, naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 driving 740 horsepower to all four wheels for a 0-62 time of 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 217 miles per hour. That’s an increase of 49 horsepower over the regular Aventador while weight is reduced by 110 pounds along with added downforce thanks to new aero features.
