This is it; the all-new 2019 BMW Z4 Roadster has been revealed at this year’s Monterey Car Week, and we couldn’t be happier saying that it looks almost identical to the Z4 concept from last year. The variant BMW has chosen to display at the 2018 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is the the Z4 M40i Roadster First Edition. The First Edition trim features a special Frozen Orange Metallic paint with a BMW Individual High Gloss Shadow Line, and an anthracite fabric top “with silver effect” that can stow in just ten seconds along with adaptive LED headlights, black mirror caps and two-tone, double-spoke 19-inch wheels. Inside the cabin, the roadster gets black leather with contrasting stitching, power seats, a head-up display, BMW Live Cockpit Professional with two digital screens, and Harmon Kardon surround sound audio.
The Z4 M40i Roadster First Edition features adaptive M-tuned sports suspension along with M Sport rear differential and M Sport braking package. Under the hood is BMW’s brilliant B58 engine. The 3.0-liter turbocharged straight-six motor in the Z4 M40i makes 382 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. It is mated to an eight-speed ZF transmission which channels the power to the rear wheels. More details on the engine and the performance figures will be revealed next month. The pricing is yet to be announced and the new Z4 is expected to hit the dealerships in the second quarter of next year.
