This Utah millionaire let his garage manager surprise-wrap a $3 million Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider in 300,000 crystals, an 800-hour effort that turned a 1,155 hp track toy into a rolling prism to steal Monterey’s spotlight and break the internet.

When most people think about personalizing their Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider, they might consider a custom wrap, new wheels or perhaps carbon fiber accents. Utah YouTuber Supercar Ron’s garage manager Tace Anderson, had a different vision entirely, convincing his boss to let him get the $3 million limited-edition hypercar wrapped for Monterey Car Week, no questions asked. The surprising result: a 1,155-horsepower track-bred missile bedazzled with 300,000 hand-laid crystals.

The story behind this glittering project started, as many great ideas do, with a casual conversation. Six months before Monterey, Supercar Ron, aka Brad Bonham, told Anderson he could surprise him with a wrap on the Valkyrie in time for the gathering. Anderson, also the social media manager for the channel, decided to do something that would get them a lot of attention.

The execution proved far more complex than anyone anticipated. The team couldn’t simply glue crystals directly onto the Valkyrie’s pristine bodywork. The limited-edition hypercar was first wrapped in a silver that would complement the crystals.

Once that was done, the team visited a specialist, CrystalNinja, who herself drives a bedazzled Fiat 500. Each of the 300,000 crystals was individually placed by hand, a painstaking process that took eight people over 800 hours to complete. The team worked in sections, carefully mapping out patterns that would complement the Valkyrie’s aggressive lines.

The result is genuinely breathtaking. Under sunlight, the Valkyrie transforms into a rolling prism, casting rainbow reflections across everything around it. At night, light hitting the Aston Martin creates a disco ball effect, as if the Valkyrie needed more help getting attention.

Critics might call it ostentatious, but there’s something undeniably captivating about seeing a $3 million hypercar that refuses to blend into the background. Ron’s bedazzled Valkyrie represents the ultimate expression of being rich enough to not care what anyone thinks. Whether you love it or hate it, one thing is certain, you’ll never see another one quite like it.
