British graffiti artist Banksy may be elusive may never meet and greet his fans, but you can still become a part of his world. Not by buying an exquisite piece of art by the artist but by letting down your hair at a Banksy-Themed Nightclub in Mazatlan, Mexico. The Banksy Social Club is filled with re-creations of many of the artist’s most iconic works. Let’s take a peek inside the discotheque that looks more like a Banksy shrine, albeit with a haze of smoke, neon, and oodles of unofficial artworks:


If paying a tribute, you might as well go the whole hog! Even the palm trees dotting the Banksy club exude the artistic charm with words like “Happiness” and “Street Art,” and Banksy-themed graffiti plastered on.

Banksy Social club pays homage to the anonymous artist by inundating the decor with everything Banksy! They haven’t spared his most iconic works, from paintings stenciled art to murals. Of course, they don’t worry about copyright infringement; it is Banksy, after all, whose stencils famously declared, “Copyright is for losers.”

On entering the club, you first cross the gift shop, followed by a room that looks like a dedicated gallery of bootleg Banksy pieces such as the red telephone box, a replica of Flower Thrower, and an angel sculpture.

There is no doubt a visit to the Banksy club is ought to be unforgettable complete with a graffitied lion and an angel holding up a missile. The Grupo Marea spokesperson describes the endeavor as “an eclectic homage to rebellious art.”
