Land Rover and Virgin Galactic will put you and three friends into outer space

Do you want to win a chance to go into space and experience zero gravity along with your friends? Well, here’s how you can do it. A few days back, we told you about the brand new 2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport SUV which is the successor of the LR Freelander, and mentioned that the British marquee has partnered with Virgin Galactic, the first company in the world to serve commercial spaceflights, to come up with a unique digital campaign to promote the car. To celebrate the debut of the new Discovery Sport, Land Rover along with Virgin Galactic has launched an online competition to win a space trip for “four adventurous friends.” The unique competition is expected to attract thousands of entries from over 40 countries and will last until December 2014.

The incredible Virgin Galactic space flight prize was announced through a film featuring a group of the world’s greatest-living adventurers and personalities, including Sir Richard Branson, Bear Grylls and Sir Ranulph Fiennes. Land Rover says the competition is the first-ever opportunity for four friends to win a trip to space and experience out of seat zero gravity. Aspiring astronauts are being asked to produce a 30-second video or a still image demonstrating their spirit of adventure and the four winners will be announced in December. Phil Popham, Jaguar Land Rover Marketing Director, said: “Only Land Rover could offer this incredible opportunity, the chance to win the most spectacular group journey of a lifetime.” Famed adventurer and Land Rover ambassador Bear Grylls, who will help the winning group prepare for their space voyage, said: “This prize really is the ultimate adventure of a lifetime. “As humans, it is in our DNA to go where people have never been before, and now four friends have the opportunity to do just that.”
