World’s largest bottle of Champagne – A 30L Armand de Brignac sold for $100,000

When Paris Hilton threw a bottle of $350,000 champagne all over a dance floor, we could say ‘typical’. This New Year’s top champagne story is the offer of the 30L Armand de Briganc ‘Midas’ champagne bottle for a staggering $100,000 at Las Vegas’ prime party zone, XS at the Encore. The bottle was bought a night later at UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez’s after-party, UFC 125 – the flash news is that no one knows who the buyer is! Two strong men were employed to carry the 80-pound bottle over to the high roller’s table. The event featured some big shots like Gilbert Melendez, Urijah Faber, Jake Shields, and Bruce Buffer, but it needn’t necessarily be any of them. This can’t be Paris either because there is nothing ‘secret’ about her retail extravaganza.

The Armand de Brignac is renowned for its ‘unmatched winemaking expertise’ produced by Cattier Champagne. The Cattier family has a rich history dating back to 1773 and roots in a French village, Chigny-Les-Roses. Its signature Ace of Spades is its identification.
