Everyone knows the king of Hip-Hop Jay-Z and his queen Beyonce Knowles are a very private couple. They never air their good or dirty laundry in public. So we were pretty surprised to learn from Britain’s Star magazine that the couple spent over $1.5 million on their newborn baby daughter Blue Ivy. A source who spilled the beans on their spending reported that at least $15,000 was spent on a Swarovski studded Carla Monchen high chair and $22,000 on Fantasy’s posh tots’ carriage crib. Although it is hard to believe, it appears Beyonce and Jay-Z further splurged $600,000 on a solid gold handmade Ginza Tanaka rocking horse, a $30,000 magical windmill playhouse, and mini Bugatti car, $350,000 on identical nurseries at their three residences and thousands of dollars on a designer baby wardrobe.
In addition to all this gala spending, the source stated that Beyonce and Jay-Z’s friends have been generous. Kelly Rowland is reported to have doled out $5,000 on Swarovski studded baby bath. If what this source reported is true, then Blue Ivy is truly born with a silver spoon in her mouth.
