When you say Johnny Depp, all you can think of is his Jack Sparrow character and pirate ships, of course. Probably that’s a reason why Depp seems to be all the more generous (more like bored!) with his cruise yacht as he gives it out for rent. Called ‘the Vajoliroja’ (an acronym featuring all the Depps: his singer/actress wife Vanessa Paradis, himself, and their children, Lily-Rose and Jack respectively), the yacht has been described as a “floating salon, garret, and getaway” by Vanity Fair. The 156-feet yacht has been Depp’s since 2007 and got a makeover in 2008.
The cruiser can house 10 guests and a crew of 8. It has a formal dining room, outdoor seating areas, a master suite, four guest cabins, built-in walnut cabinets with the star’s personal library, and Honduran mahogany paneling.
The décor by designer L.M. Pagano and Depp himself gives a strong vintage flavor of Art Deco-era Parisian bordello and the Orient Express. Equipped with high-tech entertainment and Connectivity systems, the rent for a week’s cruise in the Mediterranean comes to $130,000.
