Hasselblad’s new limited edition Earth Explorer kit is for thrill-seeking adventure photographers

Hasselblad has introduced a new limited-edition camera kit for adventure photographers. Called the X2D 100C Earth Explorer Limited Edition, the exclusive kit has been designed for thrill-seeking individuals who share a passion for capturing the raw beauty of nature’s stunning landscapes. Limited to just 1000 units, the Earth Explorer kit includes a Hasselblad X2D 100C Camera Body, XCD 55V lens, and bespoke accessories.

The X2D 100C is a medium-format mirrorless camera with a large 100-megapixel CMOS sensor and 5-axis in-body stabilization. It also features an extremely wide dynamic range of up to 15 stops along with vivid 16-bit color depth, making it perfect for nature photography.

The camera body in the explorer kit is finished in a unique Tundra Brown color scheme. Native to Hasselblad’s homeland, the earthly colors were inspired by the “resilient ecosystem of the Nordic tundra.” The colors were created using the Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution (HNCs). According to the iconic camera manufacturer, “the Tundra Brown colour embodies the spirit of perseverance that Hasselblad aims to convey with the Earth Explorer Limited Edition.”

Each camera body is laser-engraved with “Earth Explorer” on the side and a unique serial number from 0001 to 1000. Furthermore, a special “Earth Explorer” start-up screen shows up every time the camera is turned on. The kit comes with an XCD 2.5/55V lens, perfect for portraits and landscape photography, a UV filter, an X System battery charging hub, and two X System batteries. Also included is a limited-edition strap made from eco-friendly recycled plastics interlaced with traditional weaving techniques. The Hasselblad X2D 100C Earth Explorer Limited Edition is priced at $13,999 and is available to purchase online and at selected retail stores worldwide.
