Gucci launches new Kidswear Collection in India

Gucci launched its kids wear collection in India in 2011. Aiming at age groups 0 to 2 years and 2 to 8 years, the brand has provided the luxurious best in the country.

Gucci showcased a unique presentation linked with its kids wear line, a colourful collection of back to school-inspired clothes symbolized by the brand’s iconic teddy bear (for babies and pre-teens) with a party co-hosted by Roohi Jaikishan in Mumbai. It uses classic baby colors of powder pinks and blues on rompers, sleepwear, vests, shirts, and jumpers. The range comprises clothing, shoes, accessories, gifts, and sunglasses. Among the accessories are belts, head bands, hats, scarves, ties and jewellery. The children’s collection from the fashion house will be a separate entity from the women and men’s collection and will not mirror the seasonal changes.

It involved the brand’s latest social initiative; Gucci will donate 15% of total sales from the kids’ collection to Ekam, and NGO that provides medical aid to children in Mumbai’s slums. The stores located at The Trident in Mumbai and The Emporio in New Delhi will feature these collections.
