After days of beachy blast following my honeymoon getaway, which also resulted in a bad tan on my feet, I was looking for respite from the dry skin and bid adieu to the tan. Being the beauty junkie that I’m, I have tried several pedicures all over that promised so much and delivered nothing. That said, I found the answer to that with my recent pedicure session at Cutting Edge Salon Dubai.
The soft white and pink interior of the space has an elegant vibe, further enhanced with sounds of the serene music playing throughout the pristine space. The salon offers everything from mani-pedis to hair, massages, eyelash extensions and more. I showed up with banged up feet, with blisters and bruised toenails, open-toed shoes were out of the question for the foreseeable future. My polite therapist sensed my embarrassment and put me immediately at ease. First, she buffed and shaped what was left of my toenails and was extremely gentle through the process. She gently removed off the dead skin and smoothed rough and dry spots- something I dread so much during pedicures.
The foot scrub with its nourishing and beautifying goodness proved to be not-just-another-scrub but actually helped remove the tan. This was followed by an incredibly relaxing toe-to-knee massage that almost put me to sleep. By the end of the treatment, my skin was soft and glowing, and my toenails have never been so pleasantly pink and shiny. Overall, I loved how the treatment focused on skin and nails, as well as relaxation using a synchronised massage technique, while the expert also worked to remedy my dry skin.
Furthermore I also tried a quick L’oreal hair spa that included the mask, massage and steam and did restore the lost sheen of my hair. The highlight was the great blow dry that ended up lasting longer than I expected and gave me my red-carpet moment. I heartily recommend it.
