Tommy Hilfiger limited-edition designs celebrate it’s 10th Anniversary in India

Iconic American brand Tommy Hilfiger is celebrate a decade’s presence in the country. To celebrate this iconic moment in the country, the designer is not only visiting India, but is also launching two limited edition designs, exclusively made for it’s anniversary.

Tommy Hilfiger will two exclusive limited-edition designs will be introduced: a shawl for women and a traditional men’s bandi. These iconic Indian garments have been reinterpreted with Tommy Hilfiger’s signature preppy with a twist spirit. The wool shawl incorporates a sophisticated white paisley jacquard on a navy blue base, contrasted with the brand’s signature red, white and navy multi-stripe design on the reverse side.Both prints are trimmed with the brand’s interlocking TH monogram jacquard. The men’s bandi, available in both classic navy suede and beige suede styles, is inspired by the fusion of Tommy Hilfiger’s iconic prep aesthetic with traditional Indian tailoring. Signature details, including contrast stitching, monogram buttons and an interior stripe lining, complete the celebratory style and make for a youth.

Moreover, between September 26 and 28, 2014, the American designer will travel to India for the anniversary events, including giving a guest lecture to students from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, attending an in-store press event with acclaimed Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor, hosting anniversary celebrations in New Delhi, and attending a private event in Mumbai.

The limited-edition designs will be available exclusively at select Tommy Hilfiger stores throughout India from September 24, 2014.
