World’s most expensive Stand Up Paddleboard sells for $27,500

Last week in Palm Beach, Florida, a SUP Board was sold for a whopping $27,500. For those pleading ignorance, a SUP Board stands for “Stand Up Paddleboard.” This paddleboard was actually auctioned off at the annual gala of the Everglades Foundation. The SUP Board was donated by John and Bari Denney of Jupiter Paddleboarding, one of the largest SUP retailers in conjunction with their very loyal customer Jimmy Buffett, owner of Jimmy Lewis paddleboard. The auction was held in the Palm Beach Breakers Hotel, and in attendance were Kelly Slater, Jack Nicklaus, Joe Scarborough, and Dave Mathews. The winning bidder, however, remained anonymous.
