While BMW and Mercedes-Benz each have their own super sedans doing the rounds, Audi too has taken a bite of the action with the S8. A car that looks as intimidating as it’s meant to be, the S8 packs all the punch of a performance sedan, without losing out on creature comforts. To make things a lot more exciting than they already are, Audi has decided on an upgrade that’ll make the S8 more monstrous than ever! The S8 Plus now churns out 605hp and takes less than 3.8 seconds to touch the 60mph mark. The regular U.S.-spec version of the S8 currently produces 520hp, giving the S8 Plus an 85hp advantage.
With the “dynamic” package, the S8 Plus can be de-restricted to touch 189.5mph. Featuring quattro and an 8-speed Tiptronic gearbox, the updated car also sports adaptive air suspension and 21-inch wheels. To make this one cosmetically different, Audi have included carbon fiber fender air inlets, a matte black honeycomb grille insert, smoked taillights, a gloss-black diffuser with carbon fiber accents and lots of S8 badging. The car is scheduled to hit showrooms in Germany by November, and will come with a price tag of 145,200 euros, (approximatley $158,000).
