Old bank vault converted to bike storage in Portland

Do you have a bike that you would rather sleep with than leave it at a place where anyone would as much as glance at it? Well, if you are a resident of Portland, Oregon, then you are in luck. The Spalding Building, a former bank, is offering a haven for your beloved bike. This vault means serious business and looks like a dungeon safe with a door that weighs 16,000 pounds. The door, however, cannot be locked but will just shut well. Why would anyone want to wrestle a 16,000-pound door? It must be the thought—all for the sake of safekeeping our treasures.
