The Canada-based luxury rail-tour company announced on Thursday that it would be launching a two-day route next summer through the Southwest’s beautiful scenery. The unforgettable train journey called ‘Rockies to the Red Rocks journey’ will begin operating in August 2021, when hopefully the pandemic will decline and take passengers between Denver and Moab, Utah, with overnight stops in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, exploring the abounding natural beauty en route. For those who love the idea of enjoying the journey and not just the destination, this is just the thing for you. The two-day trip starts at $1,250 per person, including a one-night hotel stay in Glenwood Springs. As many as forty departures are being organized between August 15, 2021, and October 23, 2021, so there’s plenty of room for you to take the train trip of a lifetime!
Rocky Mountaineer is still developing various tour and activity packages with help from local tourism groups and hotels. Rocky Mountaineer President and CEO Steve Sammut said in a press release, “The work to find a new route has been underway for several years. We needed to find a special location with many of the same features we have in Western Canada where the company three between Vancouver and the Canadian Rockies towns of Banff, Lake Louise, and Jasper] — incredible scenery, iconic destinations, and the option for an all daytime, multi-day journey that is best experienced by train.”
