The third edition of the annual luxury watch show TimeCrafters in New York is all set to open its doors to the public starting from the 16th of May and luxury Swiss watch manufacturer Jaeger-LeCoultre has announced its participation in the show where the brand will be exclusively premiering the Hybris Artistica, a collection of twelve timepieces. The Hybris Artistica collection includes the Master Grande Tradition Gyrotourbillon 3, Master Grande Tradition Tourbillon Céleste, Master Gyrotourbillon 1, Duomètre à Grande Sonnerie, Duomètre Sphérotourbillon, Duomètre Sphérotourbillon Enamel, Duomètre Sphérotourbillon Pocket Watch, Grande Reverso Tourbillon Squelette, Reverso Cordonnet Neva, Rendez-Vous Celestial, Rendez-Vous Tourbillon and the Atmos Marquetry Enamel clock. The collection comprising of 12 spectacular pieces – each of which could rightfully claim to be a remarkable timepiece in itself — feature extremely rare materials, beautifully enameled cases, skeletonized movements, unique diamond-set dials and handcrafted marquetry.
According to Jaeger-LeCoultre “the new watch collection builds on the fascination generated by grand complication watches and by the Hybris Mechanica collection that the Manufacture in the Vallée de Joux has been developing over the years. The Hybris Artistica timepieces epitomise the unique spirit of inventiveness brought to life by 180 century-old skills in a ‘calendar’ of wonderment combining as never before watchmaking art and transcendent creativity.” While all watches in the collection are references which are already famous examples, the Duomètre Sphérotourbillon Pocket Watch is the only genuinely new timepiece. The Swiss brand will also showcase a collection of historical models from the Jaeger-LeCoultre Heritage Collection that encapsulates the inspiration of today’s watchmaking creations.
