The Louvre museum in Paris saw a record number of visitors in 2018 all thanks to Beyonce and Jay Z

Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s’ music video “APESH*T” may have stirred some chaos with the critics but it surely motivated the public to visit the Louvre museum in Paris.

“The Musée du Louvre had a record 10.2 million visitors in 2018—an increase of 25 percent in comparison with 2017,” the statement reads in part. “No other museum in the world has ever equaled this figure.”

The museum definitely acknowledges the fame that Carters’ music video attributed to the record-breaking attendance. Beautifully shot in the 652,000-square-foot space, the video portrays numerous items from the institution’s spectacular collection, including Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Rosso Fiorentino’s Pietà, and the Venus de Milo.

The museum noted a significant rise in foreign visitors — almost three-quarters of total visitor numbers — mostly from the United States, China, other European countries and Brazil.
