Chanel installs a mascara vending machine at Selfridges

To mark the launch of its first-ever volumizing mascara -Le Volume de Chanel, the company has taken a different promotion route by housing a mascara vending machine at Selfridges. It is available in three shades – Prune (a warm aubergine), Bleu (an intense denim blue), and Noir (a deep black). The mascara also uses a patented brush technology named “Snowflakes,” which is made of stacked discs designed to coat, lengthen and separate lashes in combination with a quick-drying formula.

Chanel does not cease to pamper its customers with just an interesting beauty vending machine; they will also be putting together a team of trained make-up artists offering complimentary eye makeovers. The idea is to find your perfect match before you put your money in the machine.

The machines are not a new concept to the French company that launched a varnish vending machine last September. The Mascara vending machine and team of artists will be resident at the Selfridges store on Oxford Street from today to the 8th of May. The Le Volume de Chanel is priced at $30.
