Most luxury brands seem to have a heart of gold. While the watch-making fraternity all gathers for the annual Only Watch auctions, automobile brands all seem to pick and choose individual options. One such event is the Life Ball, which is one of the largest charity events in Europe, and Mini has been associated with it since 2001, and this time around, it has decided to give away a new Mini Roadster, with a makeover from Vogue Italy’s chief editor, Franca Sozzani. Set in a “Deepest Purple matt” and contrasting rally stripes, the car sports steel accents on the side mirrors and wheels. It also features some interesting floral motifs on the roof. The one-off model is estimated to fetch well over €500,000 ($648,850), and sale proceeds will be donated to HIV and AIDS-related projects.
On the inside, you can sport a “sophisticated seat design” made using “high-grade materials.” Earlier, big names in the fashion industry, such as Joseph Corré, Donatella Versace, Renzo Rosso, and Mario Testino, lend their creativity to the project. The one-off MINI will be put under the hammer at Vienna’s AIDS Solidarity Gala on the 19th of May.
