Fendi continues its Gatsby digital advertising romance with its latest ‘Weapon of Choice’ video. Instilling a sense of Fendi’s Roman heritage and craftsmanship, the maison has offered a glimpse of its latest Fall/ Winter 2014-15 Men’s collection through a ‘Weapon of Choice’ video. In an Instagram-filter sort of way, the online editorial illustrates dreamlike locations with an almost enchanted nature.
Shot by the Italian filmmaker Alex Tacchi, the digital promo opens with a young man, restless yet in-control, immortalized in all his pragmatic and luxurious elegance of Fendi Men’s Collection. Set between the massive slabs of a white marble quarry and geometric veined walls, the camera beautifully moves around to capture the minutest of details, smallest pattern, deepest of texture to exhibit the chastity of the collection’s design.
Designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi, the Fendi Fall/ Winter 2014-15 Men’s Collection sets off the season’s novelty pieces from distorted Prince of Wales suits to a taut mock croco calfskin biker jacket tossed over slim pants. The Fur Atelier is the essence of Fendi luxury. The camera hovers over to capture glimpse of plush mink sweater, shaggy vest and the new Peekaboo bag adorned with precious quirky charms. Fendi has creatively combined Fur with accessories like high-gloss lace-ups with chunky silver soles for the collection.
