“The earliest candle chandeliers were used by the wealthy in medieval times.” That statement is exactly true except these are no medieval times! Today’s chandeliers have a status worse than a wallflower, seldom coveted, often unnoticed. Enter De Majo’s decadent Levante. Not even the most inattentive observer can ignore the stylish refinement of this chandelier, or so they say.
The stylishly refined chandelier in question borrows from its Venetian origins and marries them to contemporary technology. Result? Return of the charm of real wax candles along with the modern day staple, LED. This union ensures the chandelier falls in line with functionality requirements, yet retains its innate aesthetic appeal.
Another notable fact remains that Francesco Dei Rossi, the Art Director of the maison, designed the chandelier especially. He used ancient techniques, ones that can be noticed in its intricately designed flowers and glass leaves. They rise upwards, even as the crown nestles within its elegant niche. The crown’s arms hung with delicate charms exude an air of nobility. The clear Murano crystal mutes its brightness in ash-grey decorations to create a quiet serenity.
The retro-chic creation designed to entice and take you back in time is made entirely by hand and is fully customizable in size, color and number of lights or candles. Furthermore, the candles can be replaced by normal bulbs if you wish to go wholly handy. Levante is priced at $20,500 approximately and the time of delivery is max 5 weeks.
