Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong collaborates with Francois Milot to create its first signature Violet & Blueberry Jam

From steaming oriental teas to scones with cream, afternoon tea is a Hong Kong institution. After all, what’s not to love about eating pretty-bite sized treats between sips of tea, especially when it’s all for a noble cause. The Landmark Mandarin Oriental will launch a “Perfect in Pink and Purple” afternoon tea, throughout September and October in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.

The “Perfect in Pink and Purple” afternoon tea sets will also include the hotel’s signature Violet & Blueberry Jam. The fruit-driven and full of fragrance jam in the colors of autumn is brainchild of Culinary Director Richard Ekkebus and triple world champion jam maker Francis Miot.

The afternoon tea sets are served with a selection of the finest teas and coffees, including free flowing cold-infused hibiscus and black current JING tea. It is designed to capture the elegance and fragrance of late summer’s flowers such as violets, roses, Egyptian starflowers and lavender alongside the first autumnal berries.
