The island used for promoting the scandalous Fyre Festival could now be yours for a whopping $11.8 million

Most social media loving folks are aware of the Fyre Festival scandal. The infamous luxury music show from 2017 was canceled on the last moment and has since then been termed as the ultimate fraud in the history of mankind. While the festival was a failure indeed, the island used in promoting it is far from being one, a testimony to which is the news of its upcoming sale.

Called the Saddleback Cay, the private island in the Bahamas was made known to the world after it was seen in the promo for the Fyre Festival. The advertising video featured supermodels like Bella Hadid and Hailey Baldwin with the island forming part of the gorgeous backdrop. Spanning across a length of 35 acres of land, the gorgeous isle is home to seven beaches as well as the main house and ancillary buildings and is said to boast of several untouched vistas.

It is currently on sale with HG Christie listing for a cool $11.8 million. Commenting on its auction, listing agent John Christie in a statement said, “I actually had a buyer the next day after it (the Fyre Festival Promo) aired. They came down to check it out, but it ended up not being right for them.” He further added, “No such thing as bad publicity, right?” Given the Fyre Festival’s scandalous repute, it would be interesting to see who dares to call the Saddleback Cay as his own eventually.
