Etihad’s Business Studio lets you ‘work, rest and play’ on board

Etihad Airways has announced that the next generation of the Abu-Dhabi based airlines will offer its Business Class guests a space where they can ‘work, rest and play’. Etihad Airways will debut its new Business Studio onboard its Airbus A380 and Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft later this year to offer privacy, ample storage and surface space to its business or leisure traveler. There will be 70 studios on the A380 and 28 studios on the B787-9 aircraft respectively.

Configured 1-2-1 in a forward and aft ‘dovetail’, the Business Studio will offer 20 per cent more personal space than the current Business Class. The Business Studios will have 22 inch wide seat and separate ottoman which together create a fully-flat bed of up to 80.5 inches long. There is generous storage space for laptop on the side table, while there is a separate table for the meal to create a sense of space and storage.

On the A380, First and Business Class guests will also be able to relax in The Lobby, a serviced lounge and bar area located between the First and Business cabins.

A large personal 18-inch touch screen TV with noise-cancelling headsets delivers over 750 hours of the latest blockbusters, timeless classics and interactive games. Providing a semi-circular leather sofa, a marquetry table and a large TV screen, The Lobby is designed for relaxing and socialising.

Additionally, the airline will offer full mobile and Wi-Fly connectivity in the A380, while the B787 is equipped with Wi-Fly.

The airlines has employed Food & Beverage Managers to guide you through its extensive menu options and recommend the perfect accompaniment for your meal from a boutique wine list.

Business Studios will be installed on all new aircrafts delivered to Etihad Airways and the fare will likely cost three to four times more than the usual first-class seats or about $21,000 from Abu Dhabi to London.
