Game of Thrones fans rejoice for you have bottles of wine coming.

Wine! The one drink that someone or the other drinks on almost every episode of Game of Thrones. Come to think of it… Is there are any episode where they don’t really feature someone drinking a glass of wine? I think not! So it’s only apt that HBO comes up with a fitting tribute of sorts to wine.

Fans will be happy to know that Game of Thrones is releasing bottles of wine in partnership with a Santa Rosa winery (Vintage Wine Estates) to release a “proprietary red blend” ($19.99), a Cabernet Sauvignon ($39.99), and a chardonnay ($19.99). This has all the makings to be a fan collectible and we love the way the bottles are decked up with signs of the major families from stags to dragons and lions.

Here’s what Jeff Peters, director of licensing and retail for HBO has to say. “Given the prominent role of wine on ‘Game of Thrones’ and our previous success in the beverage category, an officially licensed wine for the show feels like a natural extension for our fans.” ‘Game of Thrones’ wines most definitely will add to the fan experience as the battle for the Iron Throne heats up heading into the final seasons.” We couldn’t agree more.

So grab yourself a bottle of wine and drink along with Tyrion when the next season airs. Like Tyrion says “Everything’s better with some wine in the belly.”
