Gucci’s mystery project to feature Dakota Johnson, Hari Nef and Petra Collins
Italian fashion brand Gucci has roped in Dakota Johnson, Hari Nef, and Petra Collins as the faces for its soon to be announced launch. With little information revealed, the brand, on last Friday, shared a picture of the trio with the hashtag #InBloom.
While Dakota Johnson is the daughter of American actors Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson. She is popularly known for her roles in movies like Black Mass, How to Be Single and Fifty Shades of Grey (the adaptation of Fifty Shades book trilogy). Hari Nef is an American transgender actress and model who has walked for the Italian label for its FW16 men’s wear runway show. The third and the last one is artist Petra Collins who accompanied Nef on the FW16 runway for Gucci. She was also the face for that season’s ad campaign.
We can’t wait to what this mystery launch, led by Alessandro Michele (creative director of Gucci), is all about.

AnnaMaya at Andaz Delhi Aerocity
When a European-style food hall called AnnaMaya opened earlier this month at the new Andaz Delhi in the fast-developing Aerocity, it seemed not to conform to what’s expected of a hotel’s coffee shop.
To encapsulate what AnnaMaya stands for. And under its wide-ranging umbrella, Chef Alex has brought together foods, products, and recipes from all over the country in a symphony of flavours and combinations.
“AnnaMaya exists to serve the community,” adds Chef Alex, stressing that it is the ingredients that are the most important to him; recipes need to revolve around them, not the other way around. It is for this reason that he grows his own microgreens on the spot, and has demarca
ted a part of the hotel’s gardens for vegetables and herbs that are flourishing under his care. He is even planning to grow aloe vera under the stairs around the property.”
What sets AnnaMaya apart is its vibe of curated informality. Amid oversized floral sculptures made by the artist Valay Gada, with daylight dappling in through coloured glass panes, you can order from an a la carte menu.

Hermes Slim D’Hermes Quantieme Perpetual Platine Watch
At the Baselworld 2017, French luxury fashion brand Hermès unveiled a new version of the Slim D’Hermès Quantième Perpétuel Platine model that was introduced last year in rose gold with silver dial. This new model comes in a platinum case with a dark blue dial. It boasts of the house’s automatic ultra-thin movement—the calibre H1950.
The dial of the watch features four sub-dials (placed at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock), silver-tone numerals and rhodium-plated hands. The first sub-dial, located at 12 o’clock, shows the date, the second (at 3 o’clock) displays the moon phase, the one at 6 o’clock shows the second time zone hour indicator and the last, at 9 o’clock, is meant for displaying the month and leap year cycle. The moon phase features a mother-of-pearl moon set against an aventurine (a type of quartz) glass sky.
In contrast to the blue and silver tones is the bright red second’s hand of the second time zone hour indicator. The overall appearance of the watch is finished off with an Abyss blue alligator strap.

Gourmet’s delight
It isn’t very often that a restaurant or a chef does something that can be said to be revolutionary. Sure, there are those who make amazing food and add to a city’s growing culinary scene. But what chef Rahul Gomes Pereira’s recently unveiled menu at À Ta Maison—Sunder Nagar’s hidden gem; a membership-based French dining opened in 2014 by Rakshay Dhariwal of PCO fame—has done is more than that. He has simply upped the game.
For those not in the know, À Ta Maison, or ATM as it is known, opened with the simple manifesto of bringing French-inspired cuisine and signature cocktails to a discerning (and select; membership is not for everyone) list of patrons. It is a place where the powerful and influential hobnob over fine cigars and Old Fashioneds. It would be rude to name names, and anyway, Eeshaan Kashyap, who runs the establishment, would never allow it. “We endeavour to make the simple special,” he says.
