For those who have always wondered what goes into the making of an “It Bag,” Dior is offering a rare insight into the process. The company recently released a video that takes bagaholics through each stage involved in the creation of one of their Be Dior bags. Measuring just 27 x 19,5 x 13 cm, the bag can be carried in five different ways (across the body, on the shoulder, on the arm, in the hand or as a clutch) and in the video is seen in a vibrant fire engine red.
Each bag is lovingly put together by Dior’s talented craftsmen; from cutting the leather to sewing the lining and adding hardware, every element of the process is carefully navigated by the artisan to create a covetable finished product that will no doubt remain a classic for years. Even seemingly minor details like painting the edge of the leather an adding the silver brand name are added by careful hands!
