El Bulli in Spain claims top spot for gastronomic pleasure


The top honors in the world of restaurants and fine dining were announced recently in London. According to the Restaurant magazine, for the second year in a row the best restaurant in the world is El Bulli in Spain and at number two is the Fat Duck, the U.K. Apparently, the list remains unchanged for the top six restaurants as compared to last year. The highest new entrant is Alinea, in Chicago (#36) and the highest climber is Noma, in Copenhagen. Bukhara in New Delhi is the best in Asia. A panel consisting of 22 food writers, critics, and chefs pick the S.Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants. Paris is the city with the largest number of eateries in the top 50, with a total of nine; London has six and New York four. The top ten restaurants are featured after the jump.
