Park Hyatt Zanzibar to open right across from the Indian Ocean

This Friday, we’re cyber cruising Zanzibar Hotel. A property of Hyatt’s luxury brand, set to open by the end of 2014, Park Hyatt Zanzibar is the newest luxury addition on the idyllic island. But if it’s ‘just’ another addition is what we wanted to determine. And we’re glad to announce that after Zanzibar archipelago’s The Manta Resort, this five-star luxury hotel located in Zanzibar City might just be the most sensational albeit over-water offering.

Featuring 67 spacious guest rooms including 11 suites, the hotel has reportedly combined contemporary style with timeless regional accents. Of which, the ocean front rooms will boast spectacular, picturesque views of dhow harbors and the Indian Ocean. Even the Standard guest rooms seem to be fairly large, ranging in size from 45 square meters to 50 square meters. Then there’s Park Hyatt Zanzibar’s Zamani Residence.

A unique dining concept it’ll present a plethora of “authentic” cuisines, a library-bar with veranda, an open courtyard and a main dining room with an out door terrace and a residential style kitchen. If you don’t call that having options, the hotel’s pool lounge will specialize in local fish dishes among other offerings that are perfect for a pool environment. The world-class hotel has naturally laid equal emphasis on rest and rejuvenation.

The hotel will offer a selection of body treatments, massages and the personal services of a hair salon along with an exclusive outdoor infinity pool and a fully equipped fitness center. Business travelers will be privy to more than 160 square meters of flexible meeting and event facilities. Which is just as well, because if you’re not one for the South African outback’s options, then you can’t go wrong with zany Tanzanian lavishness!
