But one smart anonymous gentleman proved to be quite smart; he just purchased 284 square feet (26 square meters) of space at an underground car park in Knightsbridge, West London. This space comes with an exclusive entrance and exit driveway and promises of “24 hours a day, 7 days a week remote access and security.

Brokered via the Harrods Estates Asset Management, the deal was estimated at £200,000 ($319,460) for the first nine years, followed by £710 ($1,134) every year the next ninety years. Shirley Humphrey, Sales and Marketing Director of Harrods Estates, told SWSN, “The parking space in Basil Street is in a prime location in Knightsbridge, directly opposite Harrods, making it a highly desirable purchase for residents. The owner can rest assured their car will be safe at all times.
