The rather unique Devon Tread 2G watch is set to make a gilded statement at Baselworld

The last time the name ‘Devon’ came up, the world was stunned by the gold-studded might of Tread 1G. This time would likely be no different. Set for its Basel preview is the stellar successor to the ever-so-unique timekeeper, the Tread 2G.

Yet another star from the dedicated design lab of Scott Devon, the Tread 2G is even more magnifique. So if the 1G was a gold laden upgrade of the Tread 1, the 2G includes an 18K gold case and bezel, crown, stem, case back, screws, strap clips and clasp (phew!) The company clearly seems to be going the extra golden mile as the timepiece also features solid gold movement motor covers, adjustment plates and indicator plate, and wait for it, solid gold bracelet!

While we wait in anticipation for the preview we’re excited to know beforehand of all its gilded glory. And also that the watch is water resistant to 10M! Kitted with 1mm thick sapphire crystal, it also has an inductive wireless charging system a lithium polymer rechargeable, 28-days long lasting battery! As for the fantastic watch face, it gleams of off-white numerals against a regal brown, rendering the watch an understated elegance. Said elegance, however, plays perfect timekeeping foil to the brand’s trademark Time Belts that give the timepiece its distinctive appeal.
