We’ve seen Burberry’s signature checks on everything from scarves, coats and umbrellas to eyewear, makeup and even a building! Now the brand has reinvented the graphic print into an uber cool grid dial for their latest timepiece. Burberry’s the Britain Icon Check for Men (Limited Edition) boasts a 45 mm polished and brushed anthracite DLC-treated titanium case and an AR-coated sapphire crystal, it’s also water resistant upto 50 meters.
Inside, a modified Swiss manual-wind ETA caliber 2878, with 17 jewels, beats at 28,800 vph with a power reserve of 42 hours. The openwork grid also crafted from anthracite, offers glimpses of the watch’s movement and the Côtes de Genève decoration.
A black alligator leather with a folding clasp completes the look. The black hands of the watch have the usual functions (Hours, minutes, seconds) and the date features at 4 0’ clock.
Designed by Christopher Bailey himself, the watch is a part of the brand-new the Britain Icon Check collection. The watch combined British design with Swiss watchmaking technology, bringing the best of both worlds to this unique timepiece.
No word on the price yet, but with only 20 pieces produced, you can be sure that this purchase will break the bank.
