Panerai 2012 Boutique Special Edition watches celebrate its expansion in North America

Panerai has opened doors to its first boutiques in North American locations such as Bal Harbour, La Jolla, Palm Beach, and Las Vegas, which adds to its presence in Los Angeles and New York. And to celebrate the event, the brand has announced several new interesting timepieces. The highlight of the lot is the 2012 Boutique Special Edition piece, the 44 mm Luminor Marina with the back sporting engravings specific to every region. The Bal Harbour and Palm Beach case back sport skylines dominated by palm trees, while the La Jolla watches sport the city’s famous rocky cove. As for the Las Vegas, Special Edition that will see the light of day later in the year will depict the iconic “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign. The Marina watches are said to be inspired by the brand’s history with the Italian Royal Navy.

Other watches that will be eventually launched include a Special Edition Radiomir 10 Days GMT, a 47 mm watch set in polished steel, and the Luminor 1950 10 Days GMT Oro Rosso 2012 Special Edition timepieces. Set in red gold, these watches will also sport engraved images on the case backs based on the boutiques they are sold from. These watches are expected to be unveiled this fall and will be exclusive to the U.S. retail markets.
