The most expensive beach apartment in the world sold for $21.5 million


Listed for $ 27 million, and despite selling way below it at $21.5million, Penthouse A at the Setai South Beach Resort in Miami created a new record of being the most expensive single condo unit to be sold at $3,704 per square foot cost. The 5803 square-foot, multi-story residence that is perched atop the 40-storey Setai resort offers stunning views of the South Beach as well as the Atlantic Ocean. The house boasts of four bedrooms along with four bathrooms and a huge rooftop terrace with a private pool.

The house was purchased by Netscape founder Jim Clark way back in 2004 for a measly $9 million, however the new ‘business man’ owner’s identity has not been disclosed.
The lower penthouse at the Setai was sold last year for $15million.
