A limited edition Aston Martin that is inspired by a Tag Heuer wristwatch

Performance automobiles and timepieces are a match made in heaven. And, why not, both are mechanical wonders and are designed to excite and push the boundaries of engineering. Hublot does it with Ferrari, Breitling does it with Bentley, Roger Dubuis does it with Lamborghini and Aston Martin does it with Tag Heuer. While we have seen many timepieces being inspired by automobiles, it’s rare to see a car inspired by a watch. And not any other car this one is a blacked out Aston Martin DBS Superleggera.

Limited to just 50 units the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera TAG Heuer Edition will be finished in Monaco Black Contrast along with matching red accents on the calipers, badges and tires, Speaking of tires they will also come in gloss black. The interiors which are dominated by black tell a similar story.

The cabin, like the exteriors, is black with hints of red in the form of stitching and piping along with the occasional Tag Heuer logo.

Aston Martin has kept mum on the technicals but we presume it will pack a standard 5.2 liter turbo charged V12 engine that produces 715 horsepower and a massive 900 nM of torque. It will send enough juice to propel the rear wheel drive from a standstill to 62mph in 3.4 seconds. As with technicalities the pricing is not known but to pay more than $300,000 which is the price of a standard Superleggera in the United States. Aston will be also throwing in a matching limited edition Tag watch.
