Bentley unveils top-dollar custom golf clubs, priced up to $120,000

Every once in a while, automakers move away from the assembly lines and indulge in the creation of something unique, something completely unrelated to the world of automobiles. Recently, British automaker Bentley, known for its ultra-luxurious performance-packed cars, has begun crafting golf clubs. Why? Because Bentley loves golf and because the automaker simply can! Like its cars, the Bentley golf clubs will also be top-of-the-line and expensive. These clubs are one-piece forged irons that will cost more than a one-piece of silver. The clubs are created in collaboration with Professional Golf Europe and a set of eight comes with a price tag of $3,500.

As if that isn’t enough, the driver costs $750 while the flat stick comes in at $500. A complete bag of ten clubs costs about $5,000. Obviously, Bentley has lots of customization offers to make these clubs unique. Bentley has alligator skin grips on offer as well as $800 ball markers. For those with a wad of cash to splurge, Bentley will also offer custom shafts from Seven Dreamers, a company based in Japan that specializes in high-end materials for golf shafts. The most expensive shafts of them all are made from materials found in satellites and come with a price tag of somewhere close to $120,000! “Unlike a typical club-fitting, where the golfer’s swing is matched to an existing shaft on the market, Seven Dreamers make custom shafts for you based on the data captured,” said Peter Lord of Professional Golf Europe to Forbes.
