Review: Pampering our palate at Plate & Pint

It is needless to say that the amount of restaurants being launched in the city each day have grown exponentially. However, in this highly-competitive environment, not all of them are capable of standing the test of time. The key is dishing out flavours that reign on people’s hearts for a long, long time. That said, we recently had one such ravishing culinary experience at Plate & Pint, the new entrant at Kemps Corner.

Batter Fried Calamari Rings

This restaurant’s décor consisting large-mirrored walls and chessboard-like tiles is classy as it’s intriguing. It is a brainchild of Monaz Irani who came over to greet us and take us through the menu. We started off with Zucchini Wrapped Cottage Cheese and Batter Fried Calamari Rings. The calamari rings were well-spiced, crispy and everything addictive. The cottage cheese as soft as cotton tasted heaven with the zucchini.

Sriracha Rock Corn
Chicken Chilli Tacos and Zucchini wrapped cottage cheese

While we loved the lamb sliders with mint mayo and Chicken Chilli Tacos but what truly stepped up our afternoon was the Sriracha Rock Corn tossed with parmesan cheese and sriracha mayo which was simply divine. For drinks, those who abstain should go for the Watermelon Chia which is everything you need to beat the scorching city heat.

The dessert- Nutella and S’mores Mousse Cake

Going to dessert, we tried the Nutella and S’mores Mousse cake which was loaded with hazelnuts and beautifully moist with rich, creamy chocolate. It is definitely #dessertgoals! We found the staff to be quick, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Since we were to head for a formal meeting post our meal, we couldn’t indulge in the pint bit which we would be exploring soon!

The restaurant also has drool-worthy dessert bar which spoils you for choice. Given how delightful the desserts are, we definitely recommend you ch(eat) and go all out for these once you’re there. So with efficient staff, tasteful décor and lip-smacking food, this one ticks all the boxes.
