Not only did Jennifer Lopez celebrate her birthday at a fantastic location South of France, but it was also on board a 280-foot-long yacht that’s just as knockout as the diva. Meet Valerie, 85.1 meters long, 2011 Lürssen build, received an extensive refit in 2019 and is fitted the best in class amenities to impress Hollywood A-listers like Affleck and Lopez!
Valerie boasts six decks connected by an elevator, nine lavish cabins to accommodate 17 guests, and room for a crew of 27. There is also a nursery for the guests’ children.
Espen Øino and interior designer Reymond Langton have together turned Valerie into the epitome of luxury. The highlight has got to be the fully-equipped sundeck with a 20-foot-long swimming pool and hot tub, where the couple was pictured relaxing.
Valerie weighs 2,755 gross tonnes and is divided among six decks and five unique exterior spaces.“Details reveal themselves as you walk around the yacht,” says interior designer Pascale Reymond who compares the interior to a beautiful jewelry box.
The London-based designed firm drew inspiration from the iconic Claridge’s of London and incorporated Art Deco motifs throughout. The outdoor dining room is a fine example of the same and accommodates 20 guests.
The makers understand no one would ever want to leave the excellent sundeck area, and hence it is equipped with a dining area, bar, and massive pool.
Valerie mega-yacht offers a formal dining room table that incorporates real flowers in brass details for more formal events.
The upper deck is a palatial owner’s apartment with a light-filled upper saloon that works as a lounge and cinema and several cabins for the children, nanny, and close family.
The owner’s apartment is connected via a private staircase to a second master suite on the main deck. It is a stately bedroom that enjoys a private terrace with a Jacuzzi and breakfast corner plus world-class amenities and topnotch interiors.
Valerie is capable of a top speed of 17 knots, and for shore excursions, she carries two custom-built 10 meter Royal Denship tenders, one a limo, the other a landing craft.
